History is the study of the human past as it is described in the written documents left by human beings. Studying history is important because it allows understanding the past and present. Studying history can provide us with insight into our cultures, along with various development made by Humans be it social or economic or political. Teaching is not the only job if one major in history. Along with teaching career, History also opens up different doors in private as well as in government sectors giving a vast choice in career making. It also speaks about world economics, trade, and business. In order to make sense of current affairs, it is important to study the past. Skills required to be successful are inter-cultural awareness and communication skills. The skills acquired are Critical analysis, Research, Self-management, Teamwork, and Problem-solving. You should have a computer and IT skills required for the handling of textual and graphical information, including the use of the Internet and a variety of appropriate computer software.
