About SSC Board
Ms. Swati Salunkhe speaks about state board (SSC). Each state in India has a board which is governed by the state education ministry. There are various boards. UP board is the oldest board in the country. Each board generally starts the academic year in June and ends in April. Each board has different levels that are pre-primary, primary, secondary and Higher Secondary. The medium of instructions differs in each state there can be in various languages like Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil etc. The core subjects like Maths, English, Science, Social Science etc. offered will be more or less the same in each state board. There are lots of co-curricular and extracurricular activities in the school. There are exams conducted by the school to check the student’s performance. Generally, there are two semesters and four unit tests. State board is less expensive compared to other boards so there are more number of students.
